HIX AUTOMATIC CLAMSHELL HEAT PRESS

The Hix Automatic Clamshell 16X20 is a commercial grade air operated machine with a 16"x20" (surface area) heat platen. It is built with a long lasting pneumatic air cylinder lift system, a stronger air valve for faster clamping, and bushings at hinge points for durability. This all makes this machine more suitable for extra high volume work.

When the upper platen is lowered by hand, it will trip a micro switch just before closure, and the machine will take over applying your preset pressure. At the end of the preset time, the machine will open automatically for you. Because it is air operated, you can set the amount of pressure on the machine and it will adjust automatically to the product no matter what the thickness.

This automatic (clamshell) presses help reduce operator fatigue in long production runs. They are also very useful in heavy traffic tourist retail shops where numerous garment types, such as sweats and T-shirts, are continuously being produced. It come with the optional pre-press switch.

HIX Touch-screen Controller

Switching between jobs is now as simple as pushing pre-select keys on a car radio. Simply pre-program each of 4 possible selection with different combinations of time and temperature to simply toggle between the selections.

Another example would be the 2-step selection whereby, within the same job, the machine can be set to handle two alternating cycle times (e.g. one for a pre-press, followed by one for a final press).

The new controller has been tested rigorously and has held up superbly in all performed tests putting more user-friendly control functions in the hands of the customer. The controllers are also an upgrade in electronic reliability as well as a direct response to a more general market-demand for intuitive touch-screen functionality on all modern devices.
